  5. Check the preview and save

The Stock now → after save column shows what every listing will be set to. Click Save and sync stock. From then on, count and restock the base item only; SyncStock looks after the rest.

FAQ

Questions and answers

Which stock changes does SyncStock pick up?

Every change Shopify records for a linked item: online and POS sales, returns and restocks, cancellations, edits in your admin and changes made by other apps.

Do I need to change my products?

No. Keep your products, prices and theme as they are. SyncStock only changes stock numbers, and needs Track quantity turned on.

How quickly do listings update?

Usually within a few seconds of the change.

How do multiple locations work?

Each location is worked out separately. A sale at your warehouse changes the warehouse's numbers only.

What happens when a linked listing sells?

SyncStock takes the units it uses from the base item, then works out every other listing again. One 3-pack sale takes 3 from the base item.

Editing a linked listing's stock by hand works the same way: adding 2 to a 3-pack adds 6 to the base item.

How is a linked listing's stock worked out?

Base item stock divided by units per sale, rounded down. 142 tea towels make 47 three-packs. If the base item is at 0 or below, linked listings show 0.

Can a listing belong to more than one group?

Yes. A gift box with a mug and a candle can be linked to both. It shows the lowest number of boxes either item can fill.

What if stock gets out of step?

Every night SyncStock compares each linked listing with its base item and corrects any difference. Corrections appear in the app's activity list.

What do the plans include?

Free: 1 link group and 20 synced stock changes a month. Starter: up to 10 link groups and 500 changes a month. Growth: unlimited groups and changes. Starter and Growth start with a 14-day free trial. Every plan has every feature, and Shopify bills you.

What happens when I uninstall?

Syncing stops straight away and your listings keep their current stock. Shopify asks us to delete your data 48 hours later, and we delete all of it. Reinstall within those 48 hours to keep your link groups.
